WELL Rating System

WELL Building Standard  is an evidence-based system for measuring, certifying and monitoring the performance of building features that impact health and well-being. More than 300 projects encompassing more than 71 million square feet have already registered or certified through WELL.

Why applying WELL in your building? Because people who work in WELL Certified environments have expressed the positive impacts these environments have on them. People in environments that are WELL Certified experience more energy, more productivity, better health and well-being, more collaboration with others and untimatly all have positive impact on working performance.

How does LEED work?

WELL is administered by the International WELL Building Institute™ (IWBI), a public benefit corporation whose mission is to improve human health and well-being through the built environment.

WELL can be applied across many real estate sectors, and the current WELL v1 is optimized for commercial and institutional office buildings. Pilot projects for education and retail are ongoing.

Assessments are carried out by independent, licensed assessors (or WELL AP), and developments rated and certified on a scale of Silver, Gold and Platinum.
